About

Hello lovely, and welcome to A Job and A Prayer!

If I’m being totally honest, I started this blog out of frustration. When I had my children, every devotional I studied, Instagram post I spotted and Facebook article I read seemed to imply that if I was to be a working mother, I would either have to sacrifice my family or my career to do so. Either my career would suffer when I prioritized my family. Or my family would suffer while I grew my career.

I refused to believe this had to be true.

And guess what! I was right. Most days and weeks, I really do have it all. A strong faith. A thriving family. A successful career.

Some weeks it’s a little rocky. Ok, some weeks are downright chaotic. But I’ve learned that with some planning, some patience and a whole lot of prayer, sacrifice doesn’t have to be part of the equation.

So pull up a chair and get ready for some honesty. I’ll share the good, the bad and the ugly about working motherhood, to show you that life doesn’t have to be perfect to be fulfilling.
